well guys(boys),
There will come a time in your lives when you will be called to serve.
There will come a time in your lives when you transform from boys into Men.
That time will come in about 2 years.
2 years isn't really a long time and before you know it, you are donning the greens.

The Army isn't what it used to be in the good old days. Unfortunately, it is slacker in a lot ways. However, while it remains just as physically demanding, the younger generation of males are actually getting softer and more sheltered, aka undergoing pussification.

What I'm trying to do here, is to help you guys prepare your bodies for the most dynamic, most demanding 2 years of your lives. A healthy body equates to a healthy mind, take my word for it.
I wanna help you guys develop muscular strength. I know some of you guys are training on your own, but if you can't do at least 10 pull-ups and 10 Dips unassisted and in Proper Form, then you are not doing it correctly. If you can't even lift your own weight, you will not be able to carry yourself and your equipment.

Let's go gym together, Jono is proposing every Tues morning before classes. He and Wang comes my house's gym a few times a week too. We normally hit the steambath after the gym. We could start a pull-up daily regime too. My JC friends had a religious pull-up regime and they could pull an average of 15 just after 6 months, and they are about your built. Ah Wang has already began this regime.

You would also notice a Fitness Ranking on the right hand side of blog. That is your target and motivation to spur you on! Feel free to earn a place for your name above mine.

Also, I strongly encourage you guys to participate in the 'AMS weekly runs' if and when they do begin.


Just for your info,

NAPFA Gold or Silver award at least 2 weeks prior to enlistment date
- 9week Basic Military Training (BMT)
- 2 month reduction in your full-time National Service

Fail to attain the required fitness level
- Additional 4-week Physical Training Phase (PTP) before attending the 9-week BMT
